Site and game rules

Safety first.
Fair play throughout.

These standards keep everyone safe and give every player a fair, fun and immersive experience. The event safety brief and marshal direction always take priority.

01

The two rules above all others

  1. Treat every player, marshal and game site with respect.
  2. If you think you’ve found a loophole in the rules, refer to rule one.
02

Eligibility and briefings

  • Airsoft and the game sites in which we operate carry inherent risks, including injury from BB impacts, trips, falls, uneven ground, structures and physical activity. These risks cannot be eliminated entirely, even when they are properly managed.
  • Nothing in these rules or any waiver excludes or restricts a legal duty or liability where doing so would be unlawful.
  • Every player must attend the safety and game brief before entering the live area.
  • Your booking is for the named player and selected team. Contact Unnamed operator before the event if anything needs to change.
03

Under 18s

  • The current minimum player age is 13.
  • Players aged 13–17 may participate only when their parent or legal guardian has signed the required participation waiver and risk acknowledgement, and remains on site throughout the event in a supervisory capacity.
  • Unnamed operator does not provide childcare or assume parental or guardian responsibility. The attending parent or guardian remains responsible for supervising the young person throughout the event.
  • Players under 18 must wear an approved full-face mask throughout the live (game zone) area. It must incorporate ballistic-rated eye protection or be worn with separately approved ballistic-rated eye protection; lower-face protection alone is not sufficient.
  • Players under 18 must not carry, ignite or throw pyrotechnics. They are not exempt from their effects: pyrotechnics may still be used in play near their position where the event safety controls allow it.
04

Safe-zone and field safety

  • Ballistic-rated eye protection that meets the event requirements and is approved by staff must be worn throughout the live (game zone) area. It may only be removed when a marshal declares the area safe.
  • If staff have reasonable doubt about eye protection’s rating, condition or suitability, it must pass the event’s eye-protection test before use. A player may decline testing, but cannot take part unless they present alternative approved eye protection.
  • Remove magazines, clear replicas and make them safe before entering any safe-zone area. No magazine may be inserted and no replica may be fired or dry-fired in a safe zone.
  • Every weapon must pass the event chronograph procedure using a chronograph authorised by Unnamed operator or the host site before it enters the live area. The limits for the specific game site, the testing method and the authorised chronograph reading are final. No weapon may exceed applicable UK legal limits.
  • Any Unnamed operator staff member may carry out spot checks at any point, including repeat chronograph testing and weighing the ammunition being used.
  • A weapon that exceeds an event or game site limit cannot be used unless it is adjusted and passes another authorised test. We recognise that weather, temperature, gas pressure, equipment tolerances and other physical factors can cause small fluctuations, so a marginal high reading alone will not be treated as cheating.
  • Where staff reasonably believe a player has made a clear and deliberate attempt to defeat chronograph or ammunition controls, the player may be refused participation, removed from the event or banned from future events. Serious suspected offences, including a weapon found grossly to exceed applicable UK legal limits, may be reported to the police.
  • Never blind fire. You must be able to see exactly what you are shooting at and where every shot is going.
  • Stop immediately for “cease fire”, a real-world emergency or any marshal instruction.
05

Replicas and ammunition

  • The replica platforms, magazine types, magazine capacities and ammunition permitted at a Unnamed operator event are set for that event and stated in its brief. Read them before you book, and bring nothing the brief does not allow.
  • Equipment the brief does not cover must be approved by a marshal before it enters the live area. Staff may refuse anything they cannot confirm is within the standard set for the event.
  • Sniper capacity is set separately for each event and may change from game to game. Check the booking page and book the role you intend to play. Staff may approve an exception on the day, but this is unlikely and must not be relied upon.
06

Pyrotechnics

  • Pyrotechnics and specialist equipment may only be used when permitted by the event brief, game site rules and staff direction. Their use is never guaranteed: game site rules or conditions on the day may require restrictions or a complete ban, including during extremely hot or dry weather. Safety always comes first.
  • Pyrotechnics have an in-game kill radius, and the event brief states what it is. Anyone inside it is hit unless solid hard cover stands between them and the device. Hard cover means a physical, immovable object such as a wall; another player does not count.
  • Disposable, lightweight pyro may be thrown overarm. Reusable or heavy pyro must be gently posted underarm to reduce the risk of injury to others.
07

Hits, conduct and marshal calls

  • Call hits clearly and immediately, then follow the casualty or respawn procedure given in the game brief.
  • The event brief and safety brief state whether a surrender rule applies, along with any minimum engagement distances and close-range weapon controls. Follow them.
  • Physical violence is strictly prohibited. Unnamed operator has zero tolerance for violence: anyone who becomes physically violent will be removed and banned from future Unnamed operator events.
  • Abusive behaviour, deliberate overshooting and arguments in the live area are not acceptable.
  • Do not handle another player’s equipment without permission.
  • When staff investigate a suspected rules breach, a player may be asked to confirm their name and booking details so the incident can be linked to the correct player record.
  • Providing those details is voluntary. A player who declines may be removed from the current event and refused entry to future Unnamed operator events because staff cannot safely resolve or enforce the incident without identifying the person involved.
  • Conduct records exist to support fair, consistent decisions. A single entry does not create an automatic ban or a permanent mark: ordinary notes expire after 90 days. Repeated breaches or a serious infraction may result in a future booking ban.
  • Identity and conduct information collected for this purpose is restricted to authorised staff and used for event safety, conduct management and future booking decisions.
  • Marshal decisions are final during play. Questions can be raised calmly after the immediate situation is safe.
08

Team identification

Both sides must stay easy to tell apart in the game zone. Where an event sets a dress code or team colours, the requirements on that event’s page are the ones that apply and they take priority over anything here.

  • Choose your side before you book, and check the event page for any dress-code or equipment requirement that side carries for the full event.
  • Where a dress code applies, it covers the items the event page names and no others. If you are not sure whether your kit meets it, contact Unnamed operator before booking.
09

Team dress codes

Every active category below applies to that team. An event may replace a complete category or hide it from the short event summary; hidden requirements still apply.
